[GIVE YOUR OPINION] The future of ugbase *dramatic title*

Hello, the time has come again.
Our crazy minds found again something better to play around with.
And it's another forum software, again.

A long time ago we made the change from phpBB to SMF for a quite obvious reasons, now we're thinking of making a huge change again, and this is to MyBB.

There are simply a few reasons behind this, the first one is compatibility on SMF many mods do "core" edits (this means it is editing forum source files directly) instead of integrating nicely with hooks.
The other one is linked with the first reason, it's simpler to manage and looks cleaner imo. It allows us to manage things much better as MyBB has some major benefits to SMF in the Moderation & Administration.

Now, the change would be linked with minimal data loss posts, topics, members, attachments, avatars, polls, and little minor stuff will be transferred.
But mod modifications like: Likes / Thanks, Reputation etc can't be easily transferred.

But I could go on and on and on, now to the real question:
We got some pro and cons, and we must say the pro's overweight the cons but now it's your time to decide if we should do the work and migrate to another forum software (again).

lol who rembers when UGBASE had a dark colour scheme normally going through change is quite annoying because you get used to having something for so long and then it gets changed.

I empathize with you I also don't like often changes but I'm thinking of the benefits it would actually bring.
Also, with themes on MyBB I can actually implement multiple working themes our other themes here are getting messed up :x

Because it's there by default, the option to remove it is available.

Yeah MyBB will work great, many options and if you know what you're doing then you can change a lot of things... +1 from me

Ja wäre auch dafür, sieht sehr gut aus. Aber dann brauchst du dringend auch ein dunkles theme. Und ein das dünn ist, also nicht dieses Breite ding, sondern wie das jetzige Theme das man auswählen kann "Light Theme" sieht ganz ok aus und es ist dünn, also angenehmer zu lesen. Finde ich.

I know how to manage myBB sometime, but it might get spambots or something

I prefer using classic phpBB with a ugbase logo on top like what ls-rp does, but i wanted to add more options like bold italic and stuff plus youtube yeah so
